Community Energy Action
Workshop Saturday 17 November
Join us for a day of inspiration, information and action! Share your experience with other community groups from throughout Wiltshire, and explore ways in which we can work together for greater impact. The workshop will start with snapshots of ground-breaking projects countywide, followed by action planning to agree common priorities. In the afternoon, there is a chance to discuss different topics in more detail: thermal imaging, energy retrofitting of community buildings, bulk discount schemes, fuel poverty and much more. There will be plenty of time for networking and for participants to follow up areas they are particularly interested in. You can see the programme here.
The workshop is free and open to interested individuals as well as representatives of community groups, including parish councils, community buildings, churches, WIs, and low carbon or environmental groups.
It is being held as part of an EU funded project “Sustainable Energy Across the Common Space” (SEACS), bringing together local authorities, community groups and schools in Brittany, Devon, Dorset and Wiltshire to share ideas and learn from each other.
The workshop will be held at the Civic Hall in Trowbridge, from 10.00am (arrival and networking from 9.30am) to 4.00pm. Lunch and tea/coffee will be provided. The venue is 10 minutes walk from the rail and bus stations, and there is a multi-storey car park adjoining. It is on the ground floor and fully accessible. We will send more detailed directions when you book. If you would like to carshare, please let us know on the booking form if you would like to be put in touch with others coming from the same direction.
To book your place, please fill in the booking form and return by 13th November to firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure your place at the event. If you have any queries, or ideas for what you would like to see included, please contact Jane by email or phone 01225 713771
